As reported by Bloomberg Businessweek, Los Angeles restaurant and hotel owner Sam Nazarian plans to open a Hyde nightclub at the Miami Heat’s AmericanAirlines Arena as sports venues expand their entertainment offerings.
Nazarian’s SBE Entertainment Group LLC, owner of Katsuya restaurants and the luxury-lodging chain SLS, expects to open the club in partnership with the Heat Group in time for the next National Basketball Association season. The club will feature multiple bars, lounge areas, flat-screen TVs and a private dining room.
SBE, which received a $35 million infusion from billionaire Thomas J. Barrack Jr.’s Colony Capital LLC last year, is in talks with other arenas as more sports venues seek to increase revenue by broadening their appeal. For more details, click here.
As reported by The Sacramento Bee, Greenhouse, a New York nightlife destination and eco-friendly nightclub, continued its contribution to green living during Earth Week, April 16-22, through its "Greenhouse Gives Back" campaign — a series of events that benefited green charities by giving a portion of an evening's proceeds to select charities. During Earth Week, Greenhouse partnered with a different charity each night to host a Greenhouse Gives Back event. The seven-day event benefitted Global Green, Cans for a Cure, Prospect Park Alliance, American Cancer Society, Riverkeeper, Green Festival and Plant a Billion Trees. For more information, click here.
