As reported by Bloomberg Businessweek, Los Angeles restaurant and hotel owner Sam Nazarian plans to open a Hyde nightclub at the Miami Heat’s Miami HeatAmericanAirlines Arena as sports venues expand their entertainment offerings.

Nazarian’s SBE Entertainment Group LLC, owner of Katsuya restaurants and the luxury-lodging chain SLS, expects to open the club in partnership with the Heat Group in time for the next National Basketball Association season. The club will feature multiple bars, lounge areas, flat-screen TVs and a private dining room.

SBE, which received a $35 million infusion from billionaire Thomas J. Barrack Jr.’s Colony Capital LLC last year, is in talks with other arenas as more sports venues seek to increase revenue by broadening their appeal. For more details, click here.

As reported by The Sacramento Bee, Greenhouse, a New York nightlife destination and eco-friendly nightclub, continued its contribution to green living Greenhouseduring Earth Week, April 16-22, through its "Greenhouse Gives Back" campaign — a series of events that benefited green charities by giving a portion of an evening's proceeds to select charities. During Earth Week, Greenhouse partnered with a different charity each night to host a Greenhouse Gives Back event. The seven-day event benefitted Global Green, Cans for a Cure, Prospect Park Alliance, American Cancer Society, Riverkeeper, Green Festival and Plant a Billion Trees. Sky Blu of LMFAO will debut “Who Came To Party!?” his new DJ residency at Wet Republic at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino on May 20. With his first daytime residency in Las Vegas, the Grammy Award-nominee, singer, songwriter, producer and DJ will mesmerize the crowd with an electrifying party at the LMFAOadults-only summer playground.
Once a month during major holiday weekends, the ultra pool will transform into a haven for partygoers to gather and dance. Reaching beyond the traditional pool party experience, “Who Came To Party!?” will incorporate special guest DJs and artists, eclectic branded décor and swag. As an added bonus, Sky Blu will be joined by The Smiley Gang, featuring fellow Big Bad artists Shwayze, Mark Rosas, Chelsea Korka and BVillain. The five performance DJs and producers will take turns manning the decks as they spin their tracks. Guests are invited to come out and join the party as Sky Blu and The Smiley Gang set the turntables ablaze, keeping the crowd packed and pumped up from behind the DJ booth.
