Thirst BostonThirst Boston, the 2nd annual cocktail festival produced by industry vets Andrew Deitz, Brandy Rand and Maureen Hautaniemi, today releases a comprehensive schedule of events for November 7th-10th. From grandiose, festive parties to intimate pop-ups, tastings, and educational seminars, the weekend extravaganza is filled to the brim with something for everyone. 

Returning after its hugely successful inaugural debut last year, Thirst Boston is bigger and bolder with appearances from even more leaders in distilling and bartending from across the country. Hosting this year is the historic Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel, located in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. A selection of events will be held in venues across the city so visitors can experience all the cocktailing Boston has to offer.


The Thing: Opening Night Gala

Friday, November 7th, 8pm - 12am
A veritable who’s who of the Boston cocktail scene, the now-legendary 3rd annual “The Thing” gala celebrates all things grande old Boston. State Lines: Portland & Providence Pop-Up

Saturday, November 8th, 1pm - 4:00pm
The ultimate bar crawl of coastal cocktail gems all in one place, the best of Portland, ME (Eventide, Hunt and Alpine, Provisions, Sonny’s) and Providence, RI (Cook & Brown, Aurora, The Eddy, The Grange) come together for a showcase of creative concoctions from these neighboring cities.


Saturday, November 8th, 8pm - 11pm
Inspired by dive bars, hay bales, and jello shots, Southern pride runs deep at this brand new shindig from Thirst. The raucous throwdown will feature Southern-style cocktails, BBQ, and live rockabilly from Tigerman Whoa, and guests are encouraged to dress the part.

New England Craft Showcase

Sunday, November 9th, 1pm - 4:00pm
Some of the world’s best alcohol brands are made in our own backyard, and they’re here to sample their spirits, beer, and cider. Meet the men and women behind Bantam Cider, Berkshire Mountain Distillers, Bully Boy Distillers, Cisco Brewers & Triple 8, Damnation Alley, Grand Ten, Mad River Distillers, New England Distilling, Onyx Moonshine, Privateer, Sons of Liberty, Turkey Shore Distillers, and Vermont Spirits.

Blender Bender

Sunday, November 9th, 8pm - 11pm
The 2nd annual epic battle pits 12 talented bartenders against each other for the title of best brain freeze at this 1980s tiki party. Competing this year is Bob McCoy (Eastern Standard), Isaac Sussman (State Park), John Drew (Blue Dragon), Joy Flannagan (Armsby Abbey), Kevin Mabry (Merrill & Co.), Markus Yao (Shojo), Michael Ray (Oak Long Bar), Michael Stevens (Silvertone), Nicole Travers (Deep Ellum), Sabrina Kershaw (Franklin Café), Sean Maher (Barrel House), and Seth Freidus (Alden & Harlow).

Bartender Brunch

Monday, November 10th, 12pm - 3pm
Join friends and industry professionals for one last hurrah, another Appleton Estate Jamaican Bartender’s Brunch for Thirst Boston’s participants and attendees alike.


After Parties

Each night during Thirst Boston, area bars will keep the celebration going with fantastic after parties.
