CosmopolitanCosmopolitan to Unveil Rose.Rabbit.Lie Social Club in December
The Cosmopolitan announced its latest venture: Rose.Rabbit.Lie. will combine a restaurant, club and show under one roof and promises to be the “rebirth of the social club.” The space will be designed by AvroKo and will be located on the second floor of the West End tower, adjacent to the Wicked Spoon buffet. GlobeBroadway Nightclub Envisioned in Former "Problem Location"
The last time a nightclub operated in Broadway’s Globe Theatre, it was known more for fighting than dancing. Erik Chol, a native of France, has embarked on a $5 million turnaround of the Historic Core property. He hopes to open it in November. Chol’s venture, which he plans to call The Globe Theatre, would span 24,347 square feet in the Garland Building, reactivate the mezzanine balcony and reopen the Broadway entrance to the 1913 theater. The previous occupant, Club 740, had its patrons wait in line in a dark, dank alley. MORE>>

La CasinaProhibition-Era Nightclub hits the Market in Queens
A Prohibition-era nightclub recently hit the market, but could be a tough sell in southeast Queens due to its landmark status. The former Las Casina, which opened in 1933 in downtown Jamaica, is selling for $750,000 through Massey Knakal Realty Services. The sleek and shiny building is one of only about 75 landmarked buildings in Queens. MORE>>

Electric Warehouse BrooklynBrooklyn's Electric Warehouse (The Lab) will No Longer Host Raves
The management of Brooklyn's The Electric Warehouse (The Lab) announced online that they will no longer be hosting rave events at the venue. Although the venue is legal unlike those of many raves in Brooklyn, it has remained one of the main entry points into the NYC underground for years and we are all sad to see it go. MORE>>

Downtown Mrytle BeachKeeping Nightclubs Out of Downtown Myrtle Beach: Protecting the Area or Stifling Economic Development?
Ocean Boulevard has its beachweare stores, easteries and amusements such as the SkyWheel. Then local business owner Mike Rose looks at that lineup, he thinks there’s something missing. “I think the downtown district needs nightlife,” said Rose, who owns two bars in Myrtle Beach and wants to open another on Ocean Boulevard in the former Club Exception building at Eighth Avenue North.
