Bamboo Beach Tiki Bar

Owner Frank Talerico made the biggest investment of his life in 2004 when he purchased the Ocean Manor Hotel out of bankruptcy.  Complete with a hurricane damaged poolside bar, Frank set out to make the Bamboo Beach Tiki Bar a hot spot situated on the coast of South Florida in the desirable Ft. Lauderdale area.

As one of only three tiki bars left in South Florida, due to new zoning laws, the bar was thriving. But this beach front bar has turned into a South Florida disaster in only a few short years. As Frank made upgrades to the hotel, he neglected the bar that was the original draw.  Frank’s estimated loses are close to $200,000 a year.

The Ocean Manor Hotel which is home to the tiki bar is located in an upscale residential neighborhood, three miles north of the main drag. With the surrounding demographic, Taffer quickly realizes that in order for Frank to stay above water he has got to target the locals. However, this is a tough task as the bar has become known as a dive.

Taffer and his team of experts set out to elevate the food and beverages while creating an experience guests will want to come to time and again. In the end Taffer and his team creates a South Floridian oasis at the newly branded BAMBOO Beach Club + Tiki Bar.
