Dress The Drink and Sweetfields Launch Sales and Marketing Partnership

Quail Botanical Gardens is celebrating its 10th anniversary fundraising spectacular Gala in the Gardens on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 5pm. A garden party like no other in San Diego, the guests will enjoy beverages, musical entertainment, stunning spaces arranged with elegant floral designs, as well as the best dishes of more than 20 of San Diego’s most famed restaurants in a delightful natural setting. The later portion of the evening will be consumed with dancing, dessert and a silent auction.

Dress the Drink, LLC brings the delicious tastes of several wonderful beverage brands to this year’s event including; Hana Awaka Sake, Matusalem Rum, and Three Olives Vodka. Launching their marketing and sales partnership, Dress the Drink and Sweetfields consider this Gala the perfect surroundings to display their SweetGlaze Violas which are a flagship product in this venture. These violas are all grown organically on the Sweetfields farm in Jamul, California and then coated in the patent-pending SweetGlaze finish. The end result is a real flower that is edible, non-perishable and makes an excellent and unique culinary or beverage garnish. Every patron of the Gala will enjoy a floating SweetGlaze Viola in their welcoming champagne beverage.

“Over the next few months, you will see many exciting beverage concepts released by Dress the Drink with our flowers, particularly the SweetGlaze Violas as they are the perfect size and garnish for the most sophisticated of cocktails. Who wouldn’t be delighted to see a precious viola floating in their drink? Furthermore it is such a simple and cost effective way to garnish any undressed drink” added Shanna Johnson, CEO of Sweetfields. “This is an exciting venture to us as we have been heavily engaged in the dessert and specialty foods industry with the beverage segment not yet penetrated by Sweetfields. Dress the Drink is the perfect partner to take our flowers into the lucrative world of extraordinary beverage creations while also further penetrating the dessert industry.”

President of Dress the Drink, Diane Svehlak comments, “We are so proud to partner with SweetFields and their products. Truly unique, there’s no other way to describe these exquisite flowers! The natural beauty of the flowers coupled with Sweetfields’ patent-pending finishes we are able to provide our customers with true pieces de resistance. Their tag says it all, ‘So beautiful you can taste it!’ Beginning September 1, 2009 Dress the Drink will be offering wholesale trade, retail and consumer purchasing of all Sweetfields products as well as signature drink and dessert concepts utilizing the flowers.”
