Emerald Colored Cocktails For St. Patrick's Day

The exceedingly anticipated holiday St. Patrick’s Day it right around the corner. This means party goers will pull out the most outrageous green ensemble then can muster and head out in search of some green beer. However, as one of the biggest bar days of the year, it would be careless of you not to allow your guests to indulge in some emerald colored or themed cocktails as well.  Here are some of our favorites that are sure to be popular with your patrons.

Sauza Sour Apple Margarita
Created by Sauza Blue Tequila

1 can frozen limeade
1 cup apple juice
1/2 cup Sauza Blue Silver 100% Agave Tequila
1/4 cup DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker
1 Granny Smith apple
1 Lime

Combine all ingredients in a pitcher filled with ice. Mix well. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve chilled or over ice. Garnish with an apple slice. Serves 4

Pucker Emerald Spritzer 
Created by Puckers Vodka

1 1⁄2 parts Pucker Sour Apple Sass Vodka
1 part Lemon Juice
1 part Simple Syrup
1 part Unsweetened Green Tea 
10 Mint Leaves, Ripped

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Shake, strain and pour into a Collins glass.

Emerald Isle

2 oz. Barrymore Pinot Grigio
4 cucumber chunks
5 mint leaves
¾ oz. lime juice
¾ oz. simple syrup
1 oz. soda water
Garnish: 3 mint sprigs and a cucumber slice

To make simple syrup, mix equal parts hot water and sugar until sugar is dissolved. In a cocktail shaker, muddle cucumber and mint leaves. Fill shaker with ice and add lime juice, simple syrup, and wine. Shake vigorously. Strain into a glass filled with ice and garnish with three mint sprigs and a cucumber slice.

Shamrock Shaker
Created by Camarena Tequila

1½ oz. Familia Camarena Reposado Tequila
½ oz. sour apple liqueur
¼ oz. agave nectar
2 oz. lime juice

Combine all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously, strain into a martini glass, and garnish with thinly-sliced green apples.

Shot of Bushmill's Irish Whiskey
½ oz. Crème de Menthe
2 scoops of vanilla ice cream

Combine all ingredients in a blender, blend on medium, and pour into a martini glass.

Wasabi Praise

1½ oz. sake
1½ oz. vodka
½ oz. lime juice
Pea size of Wasabi
Garnish: lime wedge

Combine all ingredients in a martini glass, stir, and garnish with a lime wedge.

Green Goddess Cocktail

1 oz. Green Chartreuse
3/4 oz. silver rum
3/4 oz. fresh pineapple juice
1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
1 small organic egg white
dash of Bitter Truth Celery Bitters

Add the egg white to a mixing glass and cap with shaker tin. Shake dry for 20 seconds. Remove shaker tin and measure in the Green Chartreuse, silver rum, pineapple juice and lime. Shake in the celery bitters. Fill with ice, cap and shake vigorously. Strain into a rocks or coupe glass. Garnish with a zesting of lime.
