Glazeras Distributors' New Program Develops Wine, Beer and Spirits Experts

DALLAS, TEXAS  – Glazer’s Distributors announces a new and innovative education program that will create value added knowledge and training for their employees, suppliers and retailers. The new training program will be called Glazer’s University (GU).

Glazer’s Leadership Team, serving as the ‘Chancellors’ of GU, initiated the program to encourage partners of Glazer’s to stay up-to-date on the constantly changing beverage and hospitality industry in a way that is both entertaining and educational.

Glazer’s University is the first training of its kind in the beverage industry. From GU, enrollees can obtain free and needed training to become experts on wine, beer and spirits by completing intriguing and rigorous 10-15 minute courses that interactively engage the participants.

Currently, GU students can enroll to get the coveted degree of ‘Bachelor of Wines.’ Later in the year a ‘Bachelor of Spirits’ and a ‘Bachelor of Malts’ will be added to the GU degree portfolio. ‘Bachelor of Career Development’ for Glazer’s employees will also be added at a later date.

The power of the program is that it is interactive. Games, virtual trips around the world and other interconnectivity methods will make the learning tool informative, convenient, compelling and exciting. Glazer’s expect students to keep coming back to complete additional degrees.

“Glazer’s has invested significant time and effort into finding the best way to encourage people that are involved with our company to cultivate their expertise. This will help them continue to accelerate their careers, and set the pace for Glazer’s as having the best, most-advanced, knowledgeable and talented people in the industry,” said Glazer’s President and CEO Sheldon “Shelly” Stein.

Industry experts such as winemakers, brew masters, distillers and other subject matter experts will contribute to the curriculum offered through GU.
