Where else can you find Minute To Win It, Beer Bingo, Live Trivia, Sports, Live Music Bikini Girls, Sand Volleyball and more all encompassed into one venue? The Hangar is the destination in San Antonio, Texas, providing a unique ambiance unlike any other bar in the area. Our wide array of entertainment is as diverse as the crowd that visits.

When taking your first steps into our venue, our huge bay door and high ceilings make you feel as if you were walking into an actual hangar. Our theme is best described with an aviation concept. Our logo incorporates a silhouette of an airplane and many of our marketing materials feature a variety of sexy pin-up girls. At first sight you may view us as your typical neighborhood bar providing a full bar with a variety of liquors and cold draft and bottled beer. Within minutes, you will find we are so much more when you see all walks of life seated at the bar and tables, hear the crash of our giant Jenga blocks falling to the ground, and our bartenders on the microphone poking fun at everyone in the bar. The smell of freshly made to order food coming from the kitchen makes your mouth water, our 18 TV’s playing every sport you could imagine makes your eyes light up and our walls covered in uniquely designed posters entice you to want to learn more about what we’ve got going on.

Our bar offers a wide variety of adult beverages and food to suit every taste. You may choose to have a traditional cocktail, beer or one of our signature drinks for only $4. One of our popular signature drinks is the “Dive Bomber," which is The Hangar’s adaptation of a Sake Bomb incorporating pear cider. Another favorite amongst guests is the pickle-back, which is used to chase down a chilled shot of your favorite liquor. Our reasonably priced food menu features several bar-food items such as burgers, wings, friend pickles and more however it also incorporates unique French-Canadian entrees inspired from our owners hometown of Montreal, Canada. The “Poutine” and “Smoke Meat” are just a few of our distinctive dishes. On average one can expect to spend $12-$15 per person for an appetizer and entrée.

Our friendly bartenders and wait staff greet all customers with a smile and kindness when you walk into the bar. The Hangar prides itself on their good-looking men and women who are experienced in their craft. All bartenders, regardless of prior experience, undergo a two-week training period in which they are taught “The Hangar Way." They are tested on quickness, efficiency, cleanliness, pouring accuracy, customer interaction, and knowledge of Hangar promotions.

There is always something going on at The Hangar to keep our customers entertained. During the week you can play several interactive games such as Minute To Win It Mondays, Live Trivia Tuesdays and Beer Bingo Wednesdays. All games are hands-on, which gets different groups mixing and mingling together to create a feeling of friendship between everyone in the bar. On Thursdays, we have one of the local sports talk radio stations broadcast live from our venue, where the host talks about sports news, and takes questions and comments from our customers on air. Thursday and Friday evenings we provide an eclectic blend of contemporary live music without a cover charge. On the weekends we serve endless brunch and mimosas from 11am-4pm for $15 while guests enjoy watching all College and NFL football games. You can also catch every UFC PPV Fight at The Hangar as well as hockey, soccer and basketball games on select TV’s.

During the summer months we open our “Backyard” up to guests, which is a 16,000 square foot fenced area located behind our main bar that includes bay doors, an outdoor bar and patio, a sand volleyball court, life size games such as Jenga and Connect Four, corn hole and ladder toss. Every Sunday we have a bikini contest, which brings beautiful women from all across Texas to compete for our $1,000 in cash prizes and $250 photo shoots. Recent special events hosted in the backyard include a Hustler lingerie fashion show, our Wet ‘N’ Wild Palooza with several live bands and a 50-foot slip-and-slide, and A Midsummer’s Night Dream Party which was lingerie themed with go-go dancers, flame throwers and body painting. Finally, The Hangar has chosen to be active within the community hosting at minimum one charity event each month to raise money for a local organization. Some non-profit organizations we’ve assisted in the past include Transplants for Children, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Multiple Sclerosis Society and Texas Wings.

The Hangar’s unique bar atmosphere is not only represented in customer volume, but in sales as well. Since the launch of our marketing and promotion campaign in April we have increased our monthly sales by 147% bringing our annual growth for 2011 to 78.9% with a predicted annual sales volume of over $1 million.
