Kold-Draft Adds Five Top Manufacturing Personnel

August 26, 2010—KOLD-DRAFT, a leader in the manufacture of high quality, innovative ice making and bagging machines, is pleased to announce the addition of five new management and engineering personnel to its manufacturing team.

Lora Cortina – Director of Sourcing
Lora has a rich background in business management, global procurement, and supply chain management with Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive suppliers of metal products, and she offers an innovative outlook on new product development and start-up experiences. Lora earned a BA in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh.

Donald I. Higgins Jr. – Supplier Quality Engineer
Don brings manufacturing and quality assurance experience from IBM (International Business Machines) and Corning Inc. He holds a BS in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, Mass.

Jon Rodgers – Process Engineer
Jon’s experience with the GE Transportation division brings to Kold-Draft a unique blend of manufacturing and design engineering. He attended Rochester Institute of Technology for mechanical engineering technology and also served 3-1/2 years in the U.S. Army.

Mark H. Fischer – Materials Manager
Mark has over 20 years of experience in automotive components manufacturing, holding various lead positions in both materials management and production supervision. He joins Kold-Draft with a proven track record of success and accomplishments in lean manufacturing, material flow optimization, MRP/MPS systems, and team building. Mark earned a BA in mathematics from SUNY Potsdam, with concentrations in computer science and business administration.

Ricardo Nieves – Production Manager
Rick brings extensive lean manufacturing, quality assurance, operations, and manufacturing management experiences from Packaging Corporation of America, Valeo, Danaher, and Rexnord for Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive suppliers; paperboard, corrugated and folding cartons; power transmission products; and building materials. Rick also has several Lean Sigma certifications from world-class businesses and institutions. He served more than eight years in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Captain. He is a graduate of Michigan State University, Case Western Reserve University, and the Weatherhead School of Management.
