New from Van Gogh: Van Gogh Blue, the Ultra-Premium Triple Wheat Vodka

Van Gogh Vodka is known for pioneering and defining the vodka category with exceptional flavors like the exotic Açai-Blueberry and double caffeinated Double Espresso vodkas. But, in 2007 Van Gogh Vodka decided to work on a new ultra-premium selection that would complement their current portfolio: Triple Wheat Van Gogh Blue Vodka, the first ultra-premium vodka made from three international wheat sources. The wheat for Van Gogh Blue is sourced from central France, southern Germany and Zeeland in Holland.  It is triple distilled in the Royal Dirkzwager distillery in Schiedam, Holland by Master Distiller, Tim Vos for an exceptionally polished taste with a smooth, neutral flavor full of subtle nuances from the three European grains.

With many 80 proof vodka brands touting their self-proclaimed superiority, Van Gogh Blue speaks for itself - with fewer pretenses. Simply served straight up, chilled, or garnished with blue cheese stuffed olives, Van Gogh Blue offers a special something to any vodka drinker.  The decision to create Van Gogh Blue was years in the making, “we wanted to bring to the market an 80 proof vodka that was as unique as our other products like Double Espresso, Açai-Blueberry, and Dutch Caramel,” explains Jonathan Bleiberg, COO and President of Van Gogh Imports.  “It was important for us to create a blended vodka with a complex, yet smooth taste profile like our flavors.  This took almost 2 years to develop and upon completion, curious to see how the discerning vodka consumer would respond to our product and packaging, we conducted an aggressive test rollout with a very high profile group of martini lounges in FL.  The taste profile was a huge hit and consumers really liked the imagery on the bottle, symbolic of a stage bar with music and people enjoying themselves. In addition, a consumer focus group was organized and produced such positive feedback, reconfirming the findings from our previous test.”
Triple Wheat Van Gogh Blue is currently being introduced to select markets across the U.S.
