On August 2, Royal Salute hosted a tasting event to launch the exceptionally crafted Tribute to Honor. The launch event was held at the Andaz in New York City, where attendees included Master Blender of Royal Salute, Colin Scott; His Grace the Duke of Argyll; and Stephen Webster the Creative Director for Garrard (the jewelers to the Queen) who created the diamond design on the Tribute bottle.
Guests tasted two components of the Tribute, the 45 year old and 47 year old. The actual Tribute is so rare and unique that it has only been tasted by Colin Scott and cannot be tasted otherwise unless a bottle purchased by a consumer – priced at $200,000. Guests also tasted the 62 year old as well as already released impressions – 21 and 38 year olds. Tribute to Honor pays homage to Scottish royalty and tradition and the launch event allowed guests a taste of that extraordinary, regal lifestyle.
