Spain’s González Byass has acquired Chicago-based wine importer Vin Divino Ltd. from parent company Angelini Group for an undisclosed sum. González Byass says the move is part of its goal to expand in international markets, particularly in the U.S.

Founded in 1991, Vin Divino currently represents around 20 wine brands from Italy, Austria, Chile, Spain and the U.S. Last year it added several new labels to its portfolio, including upscale Napa brand B Cellars, Piedmont producer Bersano and Rioja’s Bodegas Casa Primicia.
