Van Gogh Introduces Dutch Caramel Vodka

The word ‘caramel’ evokes images of delicious desserts and inviting indulgences. Its sinfully smooth texture and a rich and gratifying taste engages your tongue in a sensuous dance. Now, imagine this guilty pleasure in a vodka. Van Gogh is pleased to introduce the newest flavor in their super-premium portfolio, Van Gogh Dutch Caramel Vodka (SRP, $27/750ml).  This is the first caramel flavored vodka to be crafted in a natural caramel color, increasing the appeal of this universally adored flavor.  Like their chocolate, the Dutch have long been recognized for their ability to produce superior caramel, making this new flavor a natural line extension for the Dutch Van Gogh Vodka.

Although the original idea for Dutch Caramel Vodka was a result of interest from Van Gogh’s consumers, bartenders and distributor partners, during development it was soon realized that this new flavor was going to be an exciting addition to the portfolio with its authentic warm and opulent caramel aroma and taste. “Like our other Van Gogh Vodka flavors, the Dutch Caramel is bold and vibrant giving the entry level consumer all the way to the experienced mixologist the opportunity to make great tasting drinks without a lot of fuss,” explains Jonathon Bleiberg, President and C.O.O. of Van Gogh Imports. “We are eager to push the boundaries of traditional cocktail applications and believe this flavor will quickly become a common ingredient in mixed drinks and dessert recipes like our Double Espresso, Espresso and Dutch Chocolate.”  Dutch caramel will be available early this summer in three sizes: liter, 750ml and 50ml.

Van Gogh Vodka (SRP $27/750ml) is crafted in small batches by Master Distiller Tim Vos at the Royal Dirkzwager distillery in Schiedam, Holland, which was given “Royal Appointment” in 2005 by Netherlands’s Queen Beatrix.  The expansive Van Gogh Vodka portfolio includes 19 authentically flavored vodkas: Acai-Blueberry®, Banana, Black Cherry, Citroen, Coconut, Dutch Chocolate, Double Espresso®, Espresso, Grape, Mango, Melon, Mojito Mint, Oranje, Pineapple, Pomegranate, Raspberry, Vanilla, Wild Appel and the just introduced Caramel – whose pure, refined flavors are naturally infused in a six week long proprietary process.  Van Gogh also produces an exceptional Classic 80-proof vodka and a Gin whose finishes are smooth and delicate. The entire range is available nationally.
