Riondo USA Launches New 50/50 Wine Blend

Riondo USA is launching their new Riondo Rosso wine as a cabernet sauvignon and merlot 50/50 blend in a classy clay-like glass Riondobottle will be available nationwide March 2012.

“We blended a selected cab and a merlot and aged it on the lees of amarone,” says Charlie Massie, CEO and founder of Riondo USA. “The results were so pleasing we decided to give the bottle a fresh new look to bring to the table and the shelf.”

The grapes were sourced and wine was produced at the Cantine Riondo Family vineyards in Veneto, Italy.

Riondo USA has more than quadrupled its growth in sales from 57, 000 to 247,000 per year since 2008, hanging its hat on Riondo Prosecco (Gold Medal VinItaly 2011), Riondo Pink (Best Charmat Method Rosé of the Year – Luca Maroni), pinot grigio and Amarone, wines that are among Riondo’s top sellers.

With the addition of a new sales force in the Western half of the USA, 2012 is forecast to continue the steep trend. “We are at full-force with additions to our sales department,” says John Blesse, national sales manager. “We’re opening discussions with key buyers and are forecasting the highest growth yet for 2012.”
