Brewing Game Day Drinks

When fall rolls around, so does football season, meaning sports are once again pushed to the forefront. Sports are lucrative to the bar business. Game day means patrons seeking out a watering hole to indulge in libations and some gridiron glory. And though beer is the go-to drink to root teams on to victory, spicing up that ale, lager or stout with added ingredients can be just the kick start your guests need to keep them at your establishment during game day and beyond.


The Mexican Car Bomb

½ oz. RumChata
½ oz. tequila reposado
4 oz. dark Mexican beer

Drop the shot into the glass of beer.

Bright Citrus Sunset

1 part Cascal Bright Citrus
1 part Stella Artois beer (or light beer of your choice)
1 shot Malibu
Splash of grenadine

Mix 1 part Cascal and 1 part Stella, then 1 shot of Malibu and a splash of grenadine. Let the grenadine settle to the bottom of the glass.

2 oz. Cabo Blanco Tequila
1 oz. Pacifico Beer
Fill with lemon lime soda
Splash of freshly squeezed lemon juice
Lemon wheel, for garnish

In the order above, add all ingredients to an ice-filled highball glass. Stir and garnish with a lemon wheel.

1 oz. X-Rated Fusion Liqueur
1 oz. pineapple juice
3 oz. Woodchuck Cider
Lemon wheel, for garnish

Combine ingredients in a Collins glass. Garnish with a lemon wheel.

Nolet’s Silver Raspberry Pilsner

1 oz. Nolet’s Silver Dry Gin
¾ oz. fresh lemon juice
½ oz. simple syrup
Dash of egg white
Topped with Framboise Pilsner 

Pour Nolet’s Silver, lemon juice, simple syrup and egg white into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously, then pour into a Pilsner glass. Top with a Framboise Pilsner.


Sun and Moon Shandy

Porter or Hefeweizen
2¼ oz. The Perfect Purée Thai Basil & Black Pepper
1 tsp. The Perfect Purée Ginger Puree

Combine ingredients. Shake with one cube and double strain into a highball glass over ice. Top with a Porter for a Moon version. Top with a light beer or Hefeweizen for a Sun version.
