Ed Harris
Restaurant Consultant
Bio:
Best known as Chef Ed Harris, hailing from the Caribbean island of St. Lucia, Ed credits his love for bold flavors to his Guyanese upbringing, where his parents’ kitchen was the heartbeat of family life. That foundation sparked a lifelong passion for food, eventually propelling him to New York City, where he cut his teeth in world-class kitchens such as Jean-Georges, Buddakan, and River Café.
Over the years, Chef Ed has worn nearly every hat in the culinary world: executive chef, tournant, saucier, expediter, and consulting chef, and today, he channels that experience into building future-forward culinary systems and products. He is widely recognized as a consulting chef for hotels, resorts, and restaurants worldwide, where he focuses on creating efficient operations, standout menus, and transformative training programs.
Now based in Atlanta, Chef Ed has expanded his influence beyond the kitchen. He is the founder of Knife N Spoon and Flavor Bombe, brands that bring together innovative vegan recipes, premium spice blends, cookbooks, and designer aprons. His work is rooted in plant-forward cooking, bridging culture and health with creativity.
Chef Ed’s expertise has also made him a familiar face on television. He won Food Network’s “Chopped: Turbot Powered” and has appeared on shows such as Beat Bobby Flay and Chef Wanted with Anne Burrell. Beyond TV, he is also a speaker, educator, and product developer, guiding entrepreneurs and chefs to build their own seasoning lines, food concepts, and culinary businesses.
His commitment extends beyond business; Chef Ed actively supports community and social initiatives. He has participated in fundraisers for organizations like Autism Speaks, the James Beard Foundation, and Taste of New York. Recently, his mission has evolved to include empowering farmers, food entrepreneurs, and communities in St. Lucia, where he is spearheading projects like hospitality training programs to create more opportunity for future generations.
At his core, Chef Ed is about more than food, he is about building systems, empowering communities, and creating legacies.
