Bio:
Growing up in an Italian-American household, Tony Scardino developed a love for cooking while watching family members prepare traditional dishes. This passion led him to train at Inspiration Kitchens in Chicago and gain experience at his uncle's hot dog stand in Wisconsin.
Tony refined his skills at renowned Chicago restaurants like Publican Quality Meats and Au Cheval, but his true calling was pizza. He traveled to San Francisco to learn from 13-time World Pizza Champion Tony Gemignani and 2-time World Pizza Champion Laura Meyer at the International School of Pizza.
After competing in the International Pizza Challenge, the title "Professor Pizza" emerged following a speaking engagement at DePaul University, where he discussed Chicago's food culture. Now, Tony is dedicated to making pizza fun and impactful, aiming to leave lasting impressions on everyone he meets. He proudly represents the World Pizza Champions in Chicago with friends Leo Spizzirri and Tony Troiano.
