Diageo Non-Alcoholic Beverages

Bio:

Cristin "Moxy" Castro is a seasoned beverage‑industry leader with deep experience across wine, spirits, and the rapidly growing non‑alcoholic category. She holds a Specialized Master/MBA in Food and Beverage from SDA Bocconi in Milan and has contributed to publications including Southwest Brewers News, la Cocinita, and L Style G Style, as well as co‑authoring SDA Bocconi’s study on the U.S. wine business.  She has spoken on beverage at the Texas Package Store Association Retail Fast Pitch, the Wine in Technology Symposium, the Conrad School of Hospitality at The University of Houston, and the Seattle Cocktail Conference.

Her career spans influential roles such as National Sales Manager for Charbay Artisan Winery & Distillery, where she helped ignite the early artisan‑spirits movement and as a founding member of the Esprit Du Vin sales team, reshaping U.S. strategy for multi‑generational European brands. She later joined D&E Fine Wine, navigating through the Southern–Glazer’s merger and living to tell.

One of her most rewarding chapters was founding Commonwealth Beverage & Brand, advising and scaling small to mid‑sized wineries and distilleries across the U.S. and Central America. Returning to this love for international work, she also served as Global Export Manager for Historic Heitz Cellar (covering 10 time zones made for interesting REM sleep).

Energized by the category’s explosive growth, she took the opportunity to serve as Head of Sales for Aplos, a functional non‑alcoholic spirit, and now serves as Senior Sales Director for Diageo’s new Non‑Alcoholic Beverage Division.

Moxy is most passionate, about championing sustainability‑focused brands that scale and  adventure traveling with family.
